Job Description
A public competition for qualifications and interview exam is announced for no. 1 Junior Band 1 grant for collaboration in technological research activities to be used at the Ferrara Section of the I.N.F.N. on the following research topic: “Development of Electronics for Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics Experiments” The duration of the research grant is 12 months, renewable for a further 24 months. The gross annual amount of the grant is €20,356.62. [The net monthly amount of the check calculated with the regulations in force on 01-01-2022 is approximately €1,495.48; this number may change due to regulatory adjustments]. In order to encourage the mobility of researchers, the winners of the technological research grant who have obtained a second level degree in a Province or Metropolitan City other than that of the location of destination of the grant, will benefit from an economic incentive additional, provided they are not resident or have not had a domicile or scholarships or other research grants provided by INFN or other scientific institutions in the three years prior to signing the contract in the Province or Metropolitan City of the destination site. The aforementioned additional economic incentive may be paid for a maximum duration of 3 years. This incentive will not be paid if similar facilities are already provided for in the loan agreements if the position is activated following extraordinary procedures, such as those provided for in article 22 of the Regulations in force. Applicants must have a second level degree in Engineering (or equivalent qualification obtained abroad) obtained no more than 6 years ago. The maximum term of 6 years from the achievement of the second level degree can be increased in the cases listed below and the reasons for the extension must be duly documented in the application: a) in the case of maternity: by 18 months for each child; b) in the case of parental leave: for the period equal to the length of leave used for each child if more than 30 days; c) in the event of a long hospital stay, long illness exceeding 90 days: for a period equal to the duration of the single events considered. Applications for participation in the competition must be completed and sent to INFN electronically via the website https://reclutamento.dsi.infn.it no later than 13-04-2023 by 11:59:59 pm . The following must be attached to the application, under penalty of exclusion: – a curriculum vitae, without sensitive data, with authorization for eventual publication in accordance with the law; – a list of any publications; – copy of a valid identity document (which the candidate must show at the time of the interview). The name, surname and e-mail address of a maximum of no. 2 referents, who will be able to upload a reference letter by 15-04-2023 by 11:59:59 pm. For the purpose of evaluating qualifications, the candidate may attach the following documents to the application: – copies of contracts, assignments and/or assignments, etc. certifying the performance of activities in public and/or private subjects; – specialization diplomas and/or certificates of attendance at post-graduate specialization courses, both in Italy and abroad. The notice of the date, time and place of the possible interview will be published, at least fifteen days before the discussion, on the web page of the announcement and is valid as an official notification without the obligation of further communication from the INFN. The candidate, for the purpose of participating in the call for applications, may request to carry out the interview exam via videoconference. If necessary, due to technical problems, the videoconference can be carried out at an INFN facility for which explicit authorization will be issued. The examining commission has a total of n. 100 points distributed as follows: – 30 points for qualifications; – 70 points for the exam-interview. The exam-interview is not considered passed if the candidate has not obtained a grade of at least 49/70. The candidate enters the ranking list only if he achieves a minimum total score of 70 points. The final ranking will be published on the call web page. The fellowship holder’s activity is carried out under the guidance and direction of the person in charge of the research, project or experiment for which the fellowship has been awarded.
