Job Description
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will join the CAEN Power Supply Division. S/he will be responsible for power supplies controllers development for physics experiments installed Worldwide. Main tasks include:
- Development of novel digital controls & communications for high performance power supplies working in standard or in hostile environments, using programmable devices (μC, FPGA, etc.)
- Hardware design of high-performance power supply controllers and systems according to the requirements specified by the Marketing & Sales Division.
- Simulation, testing and validation both in house and at various research centers around the globe, with the majority at CERN, Geneva.
Requirements:
- University degree in Electronics Engineering or comparable
- Proficiency with English and Italian languages (both written and spoken)
- Familiar with microprocessors/microcontrollers architecture
- Good knowledge of Linux OS
- Knowledge of emulator, Cross-Compiler and debugging systems
- Experience in C/C++ and thread applications
- Ability to:
- Work effectively in a group development environment
- Problem-solve effectively
- Persistently drive projects to successful completion
Preferential requirements:
- Italian Mother language
- Availability to international travel
