Job Description

Your tasks

You will conduct your own μSR research and collaborate in research projects with external and/or internal users of the SμS. In addition, you will give scientific support to the users of the PSI bulk μSR facility, participate to the development of new, cuttingedge experimental techniques and to the upgrade of existing μSR facility instruments.

Your profile

You are a graduated PhD scientist with experience in the field of condensed matter research or experimental particle physics with an excellent scientific track record. Preferably, you are familiar with spin-resonance methods, instrumentation and data acquisition techniques, cryogenics and instrument control. Knowledge of detector design, Si pixel detectors, fast electronics, and data acquisition software would be of advantage. You like to work in a team, to give support to and collaborate with a large, international research community.
