The GSI Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt operates one of the leading particle accelerator facilities for science. In the next few years, the new facility FAIR ( Facility for Antiproton and I on Research ), one of the largest research projects worldwide, will be built in international cooperation. We are looking for a person for the “Project Management Office” department as soon as possible
Project controller (d/m/f) for the FAIR project
Reference number: 23.25- 6110
to strengthen the “Project Finance” group.
Your tasks:
- Participation in cost and budget management for the FAIR project
- Creation of analyses, financial reports and forecasts for project managers, management, committees and sponsors
- Support for project managers on financial issues
- Participation in the following tasks:
- Project budget control and change management
- Determination of the funds required for liquidity management
- Ensuring reporting quality and continuous improvement of the database
- Recording and evaluation of project cost changes
- Conception and implementation of new financial reports
- Creation and documentation of processes
Your profile:
- Completed studies in the field of business administration, administration, natural sciences, technology or comparable training with professional experience
- If possible, experience in project management and project controlling
- Enjoys complex tasks, analytical skills
- High level of commitment, independent, structured and quality-conscious action, quick comprehension
- Communicative, team player and resilient
- Good MS knowledge, very good knowledge and confident handling of EXCEL
- Experiences in SAP
- Excellent ability to express yourself in German
- English spoken and written
We offer an interesting and varied job in an internationally renowned research institution. The position is limited to 5 years. The salary is based on the collective agreement TVöD (Bund) applicable at GSI.
